Do I get to laugh as hard as I did even though I homeschool? Homeschooling parents are NOT exempt. This could apply to us in a MULTITUDE of extracurricular areas.
Go ahead and watch. Make your OWN day! :)
Don't forget! The 30 Day Throw Down! blog begins the next 30 Days on October 1st. Now we get our groove on and move it!
Great message couched in a hilarious execution. Outstanding!
ReplyDeleteThis is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteYes, we homeschooling parents do get to laugh at that, until we fall off our chairs!
ReplyDeleteMy older kids went to the public high school, and my son Jeff "broke" a door one day, following a teacher's directions. The assistant principal called me at 8:45AM, when I'd gone back to bed because I was sick, and told me Jeff had pulled a locked metal door, bent it and popped the window out of it. I pointed out the obvious: the door must have been damaged to begin with. He raised his voice and scolded me that I was not taking responsibility for my child, and I promptly raised my voice back, and said, "You called me. I did not call you. I am sick, and was asleep, and I will not tolerate you yelling at me. Be civil, or shut up!" I don't think he liked me.
So funny (and sadly, kinda true)! I would applaud if I called my son's school and got that message -- seriously! Thanks for sharing that little gem!
ReplyDeleteFunny and true!
ReplyDeleteNot having kids I am a bit remote from such problems. I do admire you homeschoolers though. It must be a hard j ob.
ReplyDeletelove, Angie, xx
I did laugh ...
ReplyDeleteLove it! I want to come up with something witty for my home phone!
ReplyDeleteHilarious!! I am passing this on to my sister (she teaches high school in a public school). LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Robynn, I went online to the 30 Day Throwdown link and once again could not post my comments. I know that I'm computer illiterate, but I went on using my Google Account and the Name/URL. By the time I typed my remarks twice ... and they were not posted, I forgot what clever things I wanted to say. I love the exercise throwdown and I can do this!
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
ReplyDeleteHave a good night.
I Loved it!!! So funny.
ReplyDeleteHilarious - and typical British humour... Oh, makes me happy to be a Brit eccentric...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh.
Oh I had this an email the other day! Soooooperb isn't it?
ReplyDeleteThat was hilarious...so true in many instances!!!
ReplyDeleteCheers
Ha! I love the part about moving to another country if you want another language - awesome!
ReplyDeleteLMAO! Goodonya, school!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me think of the recent news that the school system here (in Oz) is now claiming that it's not the "teachers" fault that far too many Australian school children have NO idea about spelling nowadays.
They said that it's actually the way the *teachers themselves* were taught... so they shouldn't be blamed or held accountable.
What I want to know, is who in the hell taught the current teachers in the first place?
Trained monkeys, or TEACHERS?
