I'm Stranded!
A quick note to say California and maybe some other areas are being tromped by our internet server, Comcast. I'm on a borrowed computer and service is hit and miss. Apparently Microsoft updated something yesterday and it has caused wide spread problems. The national news reports that all of Sweden lost internet connection today. So far, so good, Microsoft! And we thought Vista had problems. I don't know when I'll be back on but surely soon. Until then, maybe I'll get laundry done! I feel like I'm back in the dark ages. Maybe I'll light a candle and start chiseling out my next post.

Good job that I have those special photographs of you.
So, do you do what I do in these cases? You know ... sit in front of the computer while hitting the space bar over and over so the magic computer genie will appear and fix all of it. When that doesn't work, I move my mouse rapidly from side to side banking on the odds that a miracle will occur. Kind of like a person fruitlessly trying to shake a vending machine to get their quarter back. *sigh* Gosh, you probably can't even access messages to read this. Hurry back!

Haven't heard anything over here in Sweden, although last week, people were complaining that the entire Internet was down!
Not quite true as those of us who run Macs with Firefox were spared - i.e. a Microsoft-free zone!

Oh no! My internet service has been pretty hit-and-miss lately. I had service down for 3 days last week. Talk about going stir crazy! I even called my provider and offered to come pick up a tech to come fix it-if transportation was an issue. I think they thought I was crazy! Hurry back to us!

I am also on a Mac with Firefox and have had no problems -- so far. But doesn't it seem to you that this is happening to an awful lot of us lately? I look forward to your return, soon I hope.

Don't you just 'hate' it. I know I do! I'm glad you have found connection...and know that we will be right here when your server startst to behave again! :))

Hi Robynn, I was just over @ Janine's blog. Yes, it's LATE for me here. But as I was sitting here I saw her Saturday post pop up. I got to read and leave and comment and it finally worked. Or at least I'm half way there in this leaving a comment on a blogger site...though my link doesn't take anyone anywhere. So I'm half way there in figuring out the whole blogger comment trouble.

My blog is transforming now with getting my sidebars back working and "RE Decorating" it all..post fixes am still plugging away but they go good. I can't believe how many are having blog or some other type of computer issue - it's the October Gremlins at work!

I hate being hooked on technology for just such reasons. Living in relatively rural Vermont makes for iffy internet connections.
